The W. Garfield Weston Foundation and the University of Toronto today announced the creation of a prestigious doctoral travel award. The W. Garfield Weston Foundation Doctoral Fellowship Program will provide 16 recipients each year—across the humanities and the social, physical and life sciences—a grant of $50,000 to further their research and broaden their skills and networks in a global setting. The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Canada today announced a three‐year grant from The W. Garfield Weston Foundation that will help fund WCS Canada’s continued conservation efforts in two of Canada’s most pristine, yet imminently threatened, northern regions — Ontario’s Far North and Northern British Columbia/Southern Yukon.  These funds will help extend WCS Canada’s work into Canada’s Western Arctic, partnering with WCS’s
